Your Specialty within Judaism: I am called the Adventure Rabbi because I explore the frontiers of religion. Sometimes it’s a physical adventure as in when 300-400 of us meet in Moab Utah to see how hiking during our Passover Seder will change our Jewish experience. Other times it’s intellectual, as in my second book, The God Upgrade. Still other times it’s an institutional adventure – in our congregation we ask challenging questions about what it means to be a congregation and what it means to be a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
